Work centers, people & working time

The right work for the right person – at the right time

Work centers, skills, shifts and working time are in the same picture as planning and the shop floor. Planning knows who is present and what a work center can do – and working time is recorded on tasks without a separate time clock.

How it works

Work centers → People → Working time

01

Work centers

Categories, properties, skill requirements, capacity and default times. Work-center status and metrics are visible in planning and in the work queues.

02

People

Employees, skills, shifts and availability. Skill requirements on tasks decide who can take the work.

03

Working time

Clock-in, breaks and task participation are distinct but connected records. Workday review and correction requests go to the supervisor for approval.

Capabilities

Work centers, people & working time

Work centers and categories
Work-center statuses, categories, locations and metrics. Capacity and default times as the basis for planning.
Properties and skill requirements
A work center’s properties and required skills define which operations can be done there.
People and skills
Employees, skills and user accounts. Skill requirements row by row: every requirement, one alternative is enough.
Shifts and availability
Shifts, planned breaks and availability for planning and the shop floor.
Clock-in and breaks
Start and end of the workday, paid and unpaid breaks. Working time pauses on a break; the task does not disappear.
Workday review
Open work is reviewed at the end of the day. Correction requests go to the supervisor for approval.
Task participation
Time spent on tasks is recorded for every participant, even in parallel work – without guesswork.
Working-time data onwards
Gross time, worked time, payable time and approval status ready for payroll.

Frequently asked questions

Does FluXion replace a separate time-tracking system?
For production, yes: clock-in, breaks and time spent on tasks are recorded in the same system, and approved working-time data can be exported to payroll. Collective-agreement interpretations are made in payroll.
How do skill requirements affect daily work?
Skills defined for an operation or a work center limit who can take the work. Planning takes availability and skills into account, and the shop floor only shows the jobs a person is qualified for.
